Main Purpose of Job

The role of Associate Toxicologist will support the Chemical Toxicology Lead to produce written Toxicological analyses of chemicals identified in liquids, aerosol, and from leachable/extractable studies. This will include preparation of Toxicology profiles, performance of quantitative risk assessments whilst supporting Toxicological literature reviews.

As an Associate Toxicologist you will support the Chemical Toxicology Lead to perform toxicological assessments of chemicals utilizing statistical and expert based computational modelling programs. You will work with the nonclinical workstream lead to prepare protocols for implementing computational toxicology strategies.

Within the role of Associate Toxicologist you will utilize OECD Toolbox, ToxTree, and Lhasa Limited and other (Q)SAR software programs and be able to apply Cramer classification and TTC methods, where applicable.

You will have GLP regulatory study knowledge in those parts of the principles of good laboratory practice which are applicable to their involvement in the study and comply with the instructions given in test methods/study plans etc.

Key Person Specification

  • Degree in Toxicology or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in applied toxicology and risk assessment
  • Proven ability in technical writing and communications
  • Proven self-learner
  • Can demonstrate business / commercial acumen
  • Proven project management skills
  • Can demonstrate drive and motivation
